Our first Single Origin Colombian Coffee
Our Colombia Jorge Enrique Becerra Becerra Coffee is our first Colombian coffee, and we’re so excited to share it with you. This buoyant, medium roast, washed coffee is produced by third-generation coffee farmer Jorge Becerra Becerra. The coffee cherries in this particular micro-lot were de-pulped and fermented for 20 hours. After fermentation was completed, the coffee was washed with fresh water and dried in mechanical dryers for 72 hours. As you sip this coffee, notice the notes of toasted almonds, peeled kumquat, and caramel wafer Jorge has so carefully preserved at origin. This coffee comes from the Santa Marta Municipality, Magdalena Department of Colombia at elevation 1337 MASL. This Castillo, a Typica varietal, is grown in clay loam soil.
